1980 GS500e full power

Hello guys, first sorry for post in english

We have 1980 gs500e from germany with 20kw engine, is there any chance to open it and have full power? Another 19ps..? I found this picture which says "und 19ps in reserve"

it's easy to do? just jets, or I need new camshafts, etc..?

Hello, you need the camshafts of the GS 550, they fit into the engine and then you will have the full power.

The other difference is smaller valves, intake and exhaust. You can also transfer the complete top end of a GS500 to the GS 500 that means cylinder head, cylinder and pistons. The result is about 50PS. Also the complete top end of the GS 650 can be mounted on the engine, but this is a bit difficult and needs some work on the cranccase housing.
